How much does it cost to tint my windows?

Price is dependant on whether it be Automotive, Residential, Commercial or Marine.

How long does it take to tint my vehicle windows?

Vehicles vary in many shapes and sizes.

For a car, ute, van, or truck the average time we prefer if you leave your vehicle with us for the day.

Some factors to bear in mind that may play a part in the time involved are the type of vehicle, condition, and unforeseen scenarios such as a rear parcel tray or shelving that needs removing or if old tint is involved.

A Bus, Boat or Digger / Excavator would need to be viewed to give an accurate time frame.

 

How long will it take to tint my house, office, or commercial building windows?

With Residential and Commercial applications a measure and quote

will be carried out and with this an estimated time for installation will be given.

 

Does the tint go on the inside or the outside of the glass?

The window tint is installed on the inside surface of the glass.

With vehicle applications prepping of the tint on the outside will be done before installation on the inside.

 

What does window tint do?

A Window tint stops harmful UV rays up to 99%, adds privacy and security, controls heat,

enhance appearance,and also reduces glare and sun fading.

 

How do I maintain window tint?

Window tint takes between 2 days to 2 weeks for the adhesive to completely bond with the glass.

The drying time can vary based on the weather conditions and temperature.

To clean tinted windows, it is very important to use Ammonia free cleaning products.

Ammonia will dissolve the scratch resistant layer and cause the window tint to fail.

 

What kind of warranty do I receive with window tinting?

The window tint is under a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

For example with Automotive window tinting, this is limited to the time you own your car, and maximum lifetime range dependant on the product installed.

. This warranty covers any bubbling, cracking, peeling, fading and delaminating.

 

What are the laws on window tinting?

In New Zealand there are laws regarding automotive window tinting.

Depending on what class your vehicle has been given, will determine what tint you are legally allowed to have installed.
